SPT 2011
Symmetry and Perturbation Theory
5 - 12 June 2011, Otranto near Lecce (Italy)
A new conference of the SPT series will be held on 5-12 June
2011, in Otranto near Lecce (Southern Italy).
NEW
(02/06/2011): please find here the tentative conference
program.
NEW
(24/05/2011): please find here information about the conference
bus; they are constantly updated.
NEW (30/04/2011): plese find here the circular
letter which has been sent to all participants, containing important
information (partially outdated by new info on the conference bus).
Information about previous SPT conferences is available at
http://www.sptspt.it
This conference will be slightly different from more recent
venues in the series in that, in an attempt to fully recover the
interdisciplinary and informal character of the first SPT
conferences, there will be no parallel session, and only a limited
number of talks. We regret that in view of this - and in
consideration of the very high number of talks in SPT2004 and
SPT2007 - not all the participants will be able to present a talk,
and talks will be by invitation only.
Participation is open to anybody.
A number of participants submitted contributed papers.
Contributed papers will be refereed and will be distributed to
participants in electronic form (CD support) and/or paper
form. The deadline for submitting contributed papers expired; the organizing
committee will not accept further proposals in this sense.
The conference will be held at Grand Hotel Daniela in Conca
Specchiulla, near Otranto, 35KM South-East
to Lecce.
The Hotel is better reached through Brindisi airport, or Lecce
train station.
Travel
Information and tourist information is available here.
The conference poster is available here.
The agreed rates for Full Board (including drinks at meals and
use of standard Hotel facilities and sea shore) are valid for a
stay from 5 June to 12 June. Other rates for shorter stays can be
negotiated directly with the Hotel staff. The rates are:
Double room, per person per night |
Single room, per person per night |
62 € |
77 € |
Of course, participants are free to arrange for themselves other
accommodations than Hotel Daniela.
There will be a registration fee of 60€ for faculty
and postdocs and a reduced fee of 30€ for students and
for those not holding a permanent position. We regret that no
financial support will be available to participants.
Contrary to previous SPT conferences, no proceedings will be
published.
